Avoid a Tire Blowout

Summer has arrived and that means you're vehicle is more prone to experiencing a tire blowout thanks to the hotter temperatures. Some people assume that this only occurs to tires that are very old and starting to break down. Unfortunately, a tire blowout can happen to just about any vehicle.

You don't want to overload your vehicle with too much weight. This puts too much pressure on your tires. Stick to the recommended weight limit that is set by your manufacturer.

You need to pay close attention to the tire pressure levels that is in all four of your tires. Even if your vehicle came with a tire pressure monitoring system, you'll want to check them yourself on a frequent basis. You don't want too little air in your tires. You also don't want to over-inflate them.

Check the tread wear frequently to make sure your tires aren't balding. Replace them if they are.
